Aeroponic technology is the most advanced form of hydroponics.  Hydroponics is commonly called "soil-less growing".  Hydroponic systems utilize a replacement medium for soil, such as rock wool or coir fibre.  Aeroponic systems require no grow medium.  The plants roots are suspended in air inside a grow chamber where they are sprayed with a nutrient solution.
